Doha multi-level highway interchanges

Scope

Technical direction of planning and design for two three-level interchanges on Doha’s primary routes: 800 m reinforced concrete underpasses with three-lane dual carriageways, dual bridge overpasses with conventionally reinforced and post-tensioned spans to 50 m.

Extensive storm water systems with underground storage reservoirs, retention ponds, percolation tanks and large submersible pumping facilities telemetrically linked to a regional control station; TSE storage towers and pressurised reticulation mains.

Outcome

Contract documentation completed and bids appraised with the Central Government Review Committee; execution programme regulated to integrate new networks with the live road system.
