Scope

Construction management of process enhancements to meet river quality directives: nitrifying activated sludge plant, circular settlement tanks, inter-stage pumping, replacement sludge storage and treatment.

Close supervision of the 75 × 75 × 6 m piled FBDA aeration basin and four 41 m final tanks built by continuous thin-wall technique, holding tolerances for the rotating half-bridge scrapers.

Full commercial control: monthly valuations, variation orders, claims assessment and final account.

Outcome

Works extension performing to directive standards; final account agreed.
