Humber Refinery effluent treatment plant

Scope

Coordinated several engineering disciplines to extend the refinery’s effluent handling: substantial modification of the existing biological regime plus a new activated sludge plant using oxygen-enriched aeration.

Process strategy through detailed design management, with health and safety files under CDM 1992.

Outcome

Effluent capability extended within a live refinery without interrupting operations.
